If Beta won't replace my faulty computer I would purchase a different brand like trail tech. Although, I really hate to lose the low oil indicator. Not that I ever let the oil get low but the light is good insurance against an unknown leak.

For sure, I'm not paying $225 for a new Beta computer only to have it go out a few months later.

As I mentioned previously the stock display is made by Trail Tech for Beta. (Mine has this clearly printed on the bottom of the computer.) Looking at the display and features it appears to be the $89 Endurance II model with housing modified to accommodate the Beta-specific warning and indicator lights. Wiring it up should be fairly straightforward, but I'd expect design and quality control to be similar to the OEM unit.

That would be really unlikely, I think. They are made by Trailtech in any case, so no guarantee their other models will be any different. Word had it that the 2017 version is different - looks like Beta have been listening - I'd go for one of the 2017 versions for that reason. Something must have been noted, or they wouldn't have bothered to make a change - unless it's for the placebo effect. Either way, I'd follow Betas lead.

I have a 2017...... don't get the 2017 computer. I'm on my second one in a month.

My 2017 computer is made by the Spanish company Facomsa. Why do I know? I need a new battery cover as mine has broken. The computer still works but the battery cover is shot... It's a different plug than the trailteck version.

might just want to go to a best buy or radio shack and see if there isn't a cheap device with the same cover.
