300RR Accessory Power

Postby skates04 » Fri Sep 21, 2018 8:35 pm

Hello Beta Riders, first post here. Just picked up a new to me 2015 Beta 300rr. I am about to wire up my Garmin Rugged Mount for my GPS and I was wondering if any would could recommend an accessory power wire on the bike that is available or what would be the best to tap into, prefer something that will only power up when the bike is running. Its my understanding it will maybe pull 1amp at the most, so nothing serious. :?:

I believe the horn does not require running in order to work, I maybe wrong since my horn took a dive after a month

The horn is a good idea, nothing on the bike works (other than starter) if its not running. I added a USB plug wired directly to the battery.
It has a built in fuse, which I just pull when not in use.
Something like this: https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/15 ... Power-Cord

Well I think I give up The horn does work when the bike is not running, my horn does not work either, but I blew the fuse taking the wires off, opps! I tried the headlamp, no go, guessing it is AC and not DC power. I have a battery tender plug so I will just make a pig tail from the GPS to the tender plug so it is easy to unplug when not riding.
