390RR-S Running Light Switch

I really disliked that the rear light, license light and headlight are always on. If you stop the engine with the kill switch, all the lights remain on. You must turn the key off to kill the lights. If left on for a short period, battery will not be able to start engine.

I wired a DPST switch to turn off the lights. 2 poles are requied. One for the headlight and one for the rear light and license light.

I physically disconnected the front parking light at the connector.

I tapped into the wire bundle at a taped juntion under the tank. The white/blue wire going to a connector opposite the filter cover is the power source to the rear lights. The brake light and turn indicators are not effected.

I tapped into the headlight at the connector behind the headlight. The light blue or green (hard to determine the color) wire is the power source.

Wires routed to a toggle switch on the handelbar. I haven’t located an appropriate handlebar switch that has provisions for 2 independent sources.
