300RR Std model Speedo into Racing model, MY2016

Postby needforspeed » Tue Jun 11, 2019 2:01 am

Little while ago, I smashed my speedo in a crash in my 2016 300RR Racing. I ordered new one, but ofcourse I ordered the one for the standard model and the 2 connectors are different(only the 3-p connectors are the same).

Now obviously easiest thing to do is to order correct speedometer, but before I do, I wonder if its possible to make it work with a little wiring swap?

Can anyone help me with the wiring, I could not find the correct diagram from the internet.

All of these wires are detailed on the wiring diagram in the 2016 300RR Owners' Manual.

The 3 pole connector is for power and headlight high beam:
red = 12V
black = 0v (ground)
purple = headlight high beam indicator

The 2 pole connector if for the speed sensor reed switch.

The 4 pole connector is for the auxiliary indicator and warning lights:
light gray = oil injection system warning from ECU
dark gray = oil injection tank low level sensor
blue = turn signal
yellow = turn signal
