If the fuel connections are coming apart inside the tank the positive fix is to safety wire them as per accompanying photo. Someone on the forum had that issue last week. It happened to me in 2017 and the wire fix has worked ever since.

Quantum regulator came in in two days. I ordered on Ebay from
highflowfuel
ORDER TOTAL
US $32.75
Order Quantum Fuel Pressure Regulator for 11-20 BMW C600/650 Sport C650GT #16147724969

It fit perfect and it looked very close to the one that came out of the bike. I tested the bike running with the whole fuel pump/filter/regulator assembly out of the tank and submerged in the gas canister. Bike started easy, and idled good. the pump is making not healthy noises, and the filter looks pretty sad, so still waiting to get those parts.

After swapping from desert tank to small tank over and over, I had to do this too. The pressure kept popping them apart, and this is a great forever solution. People ask me if I bought new ones and swapped them out, but I think I trust this set up even more! haha.

My first post here.

After disassembly, I was able to get the bike running by submerging the fuel pump assembly in the gas can, and plugging the hole where the fuel pressure regulator (FPR) goes with a 1/4 inch extension about an inch and a half long with the O-ring from the FPR slipped on. I held it with my thumb and "regulated" the pressure so that the bike would run.

NNW,

Am trying to replace my fuel pressure regulator (FPR), as well. I have removed the two torx screws holding the FPR in on the top, and removed the torx screw and plate holding in the 90 fuel line elbow, and removed the elbow. But, I cannot seem to remove the FPR from the housing. It will spin/rotate, but I cannot pull it out. It seems that if I force it further, I may damage the housing.

Any suggestions for removal of the FPR?

NNW,

Your suggestion worked well, despite the amount of force needed to remove it...really feels like you might crack the plastic FPR housing, but its just the thick O-ring that holds it in so well.

Really appreciate the tip.
