Horn Failures

Postby Afterburner » Sat Dec 07, 2019 3:32 pm

2019 Beta 500RRS Replaced 4 Horns so Far.

Replaced 2 original horns and two after markets all failed.

Have normal voltage when hitting momentary switch and Ground is good.

All new worked after install then after a few rides no go.

Back to test voltage and all good.

No horn lighting off when not asking ( pushing horn button.

Not sure if we have a bad bunch of horns but that would make sense if one from Beta and different aftermarket K&S Horn

The horn on my 2018 500 RR-S also gave up the ghost. I haven't checked out to see what the problem is but I never would've guessed that the horn quit working.

I removed the horn just after buying the bike, they normally don't tolerate water and mud that well and I prefer to keep it safe when I need it for the technical inspections.

If you need/want to keep it you may try to relocate it to a dryer place such as below the tank for example.

Cheers !
