2018 390RE Starting Issues

Postby OscarFox » Mon Jan 27, 2020 9:31 am

Looking for some advice on a starting issue I have on my 390.

This has happened with 2 different switches. The first was the old lock in style start/kill switch. I had that replaced with the current version but both are doing the same thing. 90% of the time I have to hold the start button in and move it at a weird angle to get the starter to engage. Sometimes that doesn't work. Are these domino switches just kind of junky? I've checked the main ground and it seems fine.

Where else could I check? I saw a video where a guy converted the domino switch to the typical separate MX style switches. Looked easy enough and I may go that route as well.

Thanks

The std switches are not really good! Pull it apart and clean it up and after every wash spray it with some type of water repellent personally I use Inox.
