Thought I'd post an update on my conversion.

It was a little more of a PITA than expected, especially having to make a spacer after ordering the Hyde spacers...I guess that's easier if you have a YZ spacers, which I was lucky that I did, since my previous 3 bikes were YZ's.

I have to say it was TOTALLY worth it!!! All day everyday.... I knew I always liked my YZ suspension (valved by Dicks Racing) but I was nervous going back in time to forks from 2007, but they are performing as good or better than my revalved KTM forks on my 2012 350XC. I now know for a certainty that I am a closed chamber fork guy...never had any OC's that worked worth a crap. My Sachs have a $600 revalve, which were 100 times better than stock, but they just aren't a versatile as these YZ forks.

Now I need to get the speedo mounted as I do miss that and I'm not going back.

FYI, I still have the hanger for 08-14 yz forks if anyone needs it, didn't realize the forks had changed and got the wrong one at first. It's brand new, POW106 $40 shipped.

I am about 85kg without gear. Going to upset the apple cart i believe valving is more about speed than weight :) I like the feel of the fork on rocks I run mousses and just run into them. I have flipped the bleed. comp in rocks 14-16 rebound 14 .

Loving the forks - 10hrs on 'em, 260km. Thanks for Marty Moose & all for tips & set up, too. Mine remain with stock valving, working well Ats.

Ps - reset your sag if it's been a while, helps even more with handling.

I have a few questions. where is the bleed stack? In your notation on stacks what order to they go in? Top to bottom or piston out? Drill the plastic deal or not? Thanks for all the help.
