What's the preferred oil to reduce wear?

Not to sound like a smart A$s, but cleaner is better. Use whatever oil you reliably have access to. We use KYB 01M in all of our forks because it's always available (and we go through it by the gallon) and we know how it works.

As an aside, the rebound adjuster is not the hex, but rather the slotted screw buried inside the hex.

I sent you my 48's last week. I was only asking because some oils seem to have somewhat better anti scuffing properties. ELF is popular in trials bikes since it actually seems like forks stick slightly less than with some others.

Thanks Gents

The rebound adjuster is a straight slot, but it's buried up inside the hex you noted on the bottom of the forks.
