RR racing, tool to adjust PFD on the 48mm zokes?

Is there a PFD wrench available to make adjustments on the fly without removing the bars?

Buy cheap 22mm box wrench, cut and grind down to fit. Dress all sharp edges as PFP knob is soft.

These are the tools for PFP that I know to exist.

1) original Marzocchi special tool, Zip Ty racing offers it but at the end I didn't ordered it. Don't remeber actual price but check their website, not OEM expensive. Haven't tried it. Doesn't fit if you use air bleeders.

2) special tool #2, made by a German Beta dealer. Can accommodate bleeders and is claimed that it can be inserted without removing the bars.
Check the holes on the side, probably this is how you can adjust it (with a small screw driver or similar). Cost is 30 Euros +tax but when I contacted them, they needed to make 10 pieces minimum. It's been a while, I may look at it again. Sorry, only small photos available...

3) ... or make your own tool as Glen suggested. This was made by a friend and is cut so it can fit in your waist bag.
It can be used as a door handle as well

Everything you need to adjust and service the fork can be made relatively easy. The main cartridge cap is the same as a KYB wrench. For the compression unit tool I started with a KYB tool from RMATVMC, hollowed it out on a lathe, and welded a socket to it. I'll post some pics ASAP.

Has anyone come up with a way to adjust the compression on the forks without removing bars as well? I can't get a screwdriver in there and none of my bits for my drill will fit under there either. For some reason, I thought I found a tool at some point that would do this but I can't remember where I saw it.

Sure. Get a knurled thumbscrew, cut the stud to a few mm, and grind the stub to flat blade shape. You might have to play with the length a bit as it's a compromise between fitting under the bars and getting the full range of adjustment. Flexxbars are really tough to fit under as they are straight in the lower section, so I settled on a length I could just fit and adjust down to 9 turns, which is fine for me. You can also cut and grind an Allen key into an offset screwdriver but this is more cumbersome. I made a couple of each compression and PFP tool for trail and shop. I'll try some pics tomorrow.

PFP tool made from 22mm wrench on adjuster.
Note bleeder screw replaced with cap screw to allow bleed with cut down A
hex key.

Thanks Glenn. So what is that thumbscrew for your adjuster from? That's what I was kinda envisioning in my head for a tool to do that with.
