I have the 2017 SFF Air-Tac forks, they are the exact same dimension as the 2017-18 Crf450R/RX showa forks minus the springs. Axle off-set is 33mm that is 2mm less than Beta stock. I like it. to run stock Beta wheel you will need a honda brake hanger. 2001 to current all big bike models should be the same hanger. Need honda axle and nut. The only machine work you will need is the spacer. I bought the Boano 47mm kit but still needed to shave the brake side spacer down 2mm.

As I wrote, the new 49 comes with a KYB-like plastic floating piston which in the long run may need replacement.
Also the cartridge shaft aluminum colored coating doesn't look as hard as the older gold color ones.
I had another small problem when removing the 2nd cartridge from the fork. After unfastening the base (rebound) adjuster, I had a tool holding part of the cartridge outside of the fork in order to unfasten the adjuster itself from the cartridge.
When the cartridge nut came to the end of the shaft threads it was jumping and was not possible to create enough counter force to unfastened the adjuster.
At the end I had to compress the fork more to have more shaft protruding out of the axle lug and then hold it still with the aid of RT shaft jaws in a vise.
Turns out that the nut had pulled some of its threads on the upper, shaft side.
Obviously this may be an isolated example but have never happened before.

Never seen a 48mm showa tc! What models ?

2010 to 2014 Crf250R had 48mm twin chambers. That’s it.

Some models of the CRF had KYB forks can't remember which ones maybe the 450. I don't remember working on any 48mm Showa's but they do exist I see.

Made me look it up 450's 2010-12 KYB Aos or SSS, there were some small internal changes with the mid from memory.. The 49's are better than air fork disaster.
