2T / 4T shock springs identical?

Are Sachs shock springs off 2-stroke identical to those off 4-strokes?

I bought a lightly used 5.6 spring off a 2017 300RR on eBay for my 2014 498RR. It's a couple millimeters shorter than the OEM 5.4 spring I'm replacing. I set sag last night and had to crank the preload in on the new spring to get static sag (36mm) and race sag (102mm) set where I want it. I'm concerned that those fewer millimeters in original spring length are potentially causing spring binding when setting preload. Thoughts?

Okay, talked to Bryce @ Beta USA. The length/fitment are identical between 2T and 4T. He said not to worry about a few millimeters (or even 1/2") difference in original spring length. Will ride the bike soon and adjust preload as necessary.
