What is a top out spring? I have had my Sachs forks apart on my 13 300RR and there's only one spring - is that the top out spring?

BTW, during last weeks desert ride I did notice an occasional clunk upon full extension, thought maybe I had a loose handlebar mount but all was tight. Think I'll delve into the forks but need to know what a top out spring is first.

I also ran across a youtube vid that showed the complete breakdown and re sealing of a Sachs fork but can't find it....Anyone know of that vid?

thx

Found the vid....I'm assuming the "top out" spring is the only spring in the OC Sachs fork, correct?

Its internal to the cartridge, over the damper rod below the rebound tap.

my 2015 250rr forks just broke the top out springs.....
my inner rod is scratched ( the rod that the top out spring is on)
beta Canada only sells the cartridge as a complete unit and not just the parts I need.
has any one found a better way.
yes I read that I should up grade to the 2016 spring but I need more then the spring

i have a set of complete cartridges from a 2013 w/OC forks if you're interested. cost of shipping might be an issue but i would let them go cheap.

I had this happen on my 15'. Just destroyed the midvalve and chunks ended up in the basevalve. My last two Betas the Sachs stuff went right on ebay before I even rode it.

they replace the entire internals, drop-in ready, just use your existing tubes and springs.

i've been running the Enduro Spec inserts as well, totally in love. just like DaddyTJ said, they are awesome.
