Long term test report!!!

The putty worked great until I changed the shock preload and fork height. The angle the foot hit the ground changed and it easily broke off a piece and then it started to crumble. I'm on version 2 now which involved using a metal cup from a furniture leg caster and the same putty. So far, no issues and i have done one preload change.

Also you will find that the foot print on a earlier 450 stand was larger
Dont quote me on this but I think it was the 11' or 12' 450 had a larger foot.

So for a genuine stand from any dealer its readily able to be sourced ... Not as cheap as putty or chemy weld but its a solution to never have to be concerned about again once purchased.

I did this on the GG about 8 years ago. Has held up fine. Did the same on the Beta a couple of months ago. Two fender washers, regular epoxy, 6*20 mm countersunk socket head screw and JB weld. 1) epoxy the fender washers together, 2) drill and tap the kickstand foot for the 6 mm screw, 3) after the epoxy is dry countersink the fender washer hole so bolt is near flush, 4) attach the fender washers to the kickstand using thread locker on the screw, 5) build up the rest with JB weld, 6) after it dries, shape with a surform and/or bastard cut file

That is excellent Mcguyver action.

Where we ride, there are gum trees, lots of gum trees - ah, the bush's natural side stand :)

If you need to do it again you might want to shred some fiberglass cloth and mix the fibers in with your putty for reinforcement.

Mine is still holding up fine. Good tip for if I need to redo it in the future.

If anyone is interested I can 3d print a larger plate. Clips on/off with some force, won't fall off on its own. For more info check out my post in the product review forum. Fits 2015 300RR and bikes with the same kickstand. Picture is of another users bike for reference.

Give them a call. Ask for darren, or tell them you're looking for one of the beta kickstand foot kits. They all are using them on their personal bikes.
