Cracked paint at engine mount 2017 300RR

Postby Volitans » Wed Sep 28, 2016 5:45 pm

Hey guys,

I got a brand new 2017 300rr. Its has 6hrs on it. I noticed the paint is cracked at the lower engine
Mount on both sides. See attached picture. Im pointing at the location with my pick.

Would someone be kind enough to have a look at their 300RR in that location to see if
Yours is cracked as well?

The frames may be powder coated and if so the coating could crack if the bracket had to flex a bit when fitting the engine. I'd show it to the dealer and at least get a W.O. showing you have the problem in case it turns out to be more. A dab of red paint should seal the crack to prevent rust.

The dealer called me back. They have seen that before
Where the paint didnt adhere properly to the welds. He emailed Beta and go from there.
