The concept is excellent and the only way to really protect the pipe from bending. I have the Force from Australia and it's done the job perfectly for over two years now. FWIW I think they went a bit overboard with all the holes on this one as mine is almost solid and not too heavy. Still, good to see choices. I would never have a two stroke without one again.

3.5kg !!
That's a fair bit of xtra weight, but it does look like it'd give the pipe good protection
Any idea how much they are going to cost?

Do you mind me asking where you ordered the force from? I sent them a email but have not heard back from them.

The duel gravity is pricey. 275US plus shipping and import fees. For me and the Canadian dollar it's not worth it at all.

They named it right. Dual Gravity. Price and weight will make you feel the gravity. Looks cool just don't like adding more weight to my RR. You could buy a new pipe for less than that.

here's the facebook site

This is a strong quality piece .. it might be a little heavier but some locally make custom steel cage guards that I think are heavier but you'll never need to buy a pipe again.. plus you get some confidence riding in rock gardens and river beds full of boulders that you might be more worried about with a regular skid plate and pipe guard.. It just depends on what one rides and likes. I almost bought this guard.. but earlier it was around $350 shipped to Hawaii...not sure what the price is now.. It might still be worth it in the long run. I wonder if I should have just got this one anyway. It looks like the best other than a custom made steel guard.. I opted for the P-tech guard off of ebay similar to this..but a bit less beefy.. but still good.. and around a hundred fifty bucks cheaper.. but some of the custom steel guards run from $200 to $600 bucks.. The high price comes from the time consumed making and how meticulous some are in making certain guards. Some make themselves and it just costs materials and takes a long while. This is the P-tech I got for myself this Christmas.

Here's some examples of different pipe guards.. custom.. hyde.. flatland has for the pipe.. and enduro engineering for the skidplate..

carapaks or something like that now seems to take care of selling the duel gravity skid plate pipe guard combo guards.. I think they are the best that aren't custom from what I can tell... but you pay for it.
