Glen I've been riding with my TE bars for 2 months or so now and can't feel them flex. Mine have the most flex (3x).

A question I have about these TE bars is the amount of abuse the bar ends can be subjected to because the hanguards clamp on the bar, exposing them. The bar end sides of my handguards have the crap beat out of them from landing on rocks. Even if they are plugged its a lot of force on a small area. CF does not do well with impacts on edges like this. Maybe I'm missing something. I have yet to see a pair of these around here.

Mine bar ends have hit plenty, and slid on the ground occasionally, I didn't use the plastic plugs either, I just filled the holes with silicon.

I'm using the plastic plugs on the bar ends. I was impressed with how robust they make the bar ends. I ride in rocks a lot and I'm short, so the my bar ends make contact with rocks. Hasn't made a mark yet. I was concerned that the bb's would bend out of shape and also that the bar ends of the bb's would come loose, but they have been solid. If U look at the ends of the te bars they are solid all the way thru the bar. CF is just a small part of the composite make up of this bar.

If I am understanding your concerns correctly regarding the bar ends a little explanation of the bar construction should help. On the TE bars the center section(clamp area) and the outer ends (grip and lever perch clamp area) are made of aluminum. The only part that is composite is the curved section of the bar.
I just crash tested mine with a 40 mph high side, they bent and are now unusable but did not break or come apart at the joints. I will be getting another set.

Any chance we could see a pic? What area did the bend occur? Thanks.
