Just got mine today. It is expensive, but worth it? That is to be determined, but if it resolves all my kickstand woes, then the answer is yes.

Beta should have the bolt on pads now.

just another idea . I used a gopro mount and filed it down to fit snug over the end then JB welded in between and a bit on top for some extra strength

I added the Beta bolt on pad for my 300 and love it. The cost is well worth the peace of mind

I can't believe I fell for it. I told myself "no way I'm paying $40 for 2" sq piece of alum." Just ordered 1 from sierra cycles along with a P-Tech pipe/skid guard. I'm so weak when it comes to being financially responsible with my bike.

Darkside, are you happy with the larger foot from Sierra Cycle? I broke my plastic 3-D printer model so I'm looking for something more robust that looks OEM.

Yeah, It's pretty good. It comes complete with a drill bit and tap. I lost my 3-D pad also. I didn't secure it and lost it on the trail somewhere. The alum pad is actually bigger than the 3-D piece but shaped well.

One note on an issue I had when removing the side stand to do the larger foot pad install. I've always kept the side stand mount bolt tight (check it often), but removing it completely, I noticed a lot of drag while turning it, even after clearing the threads on the backside of the stand. Sighting the front hole to the threaded portion, it looked to be lined up, but due to it being aluminum it was tweaked with use and the two holes weren't perfectly lined up, so catching threads to start the bolt wasn't working. I tried putting the fork portion (top) of the side stand in a bench vise, but lacked the testicular fortitude to put too much pressure on it to line up the holes better. I ended up running a tap and die on the two parts and when mounting it back on the frame tab, I used a narrow vise grip to put enough tension on the stand to line up the holes. With some Loctite and a little luck, I was able to get the threads engaged on the backside of the stand and all is well. The new foot sits fairly flush, but I added some JB Weld inside the open cavity to help the retaining screw do its job. Hope this one lasts!
