Who's running the BRP Sub-mount?

Postby Potatohead » Wed Sep 06, 2017 7:47 am

I'm looking at getting this sub-mount to gain a little height on my bars. Looking at some of the pictures of this mounted on a Beta makes it looks like the mount may block the forks from raising much? Am I looking at this right? Does it limit how much the forks can raise?

Mine has a cutout and can go just a bit under the 2nd line. My issue is I don't want extra height.. I have the low bars, evo pro tapers. The hand guards don't line up well.

3rd line on the OC forks. I have them set there with that identical set up for my 2017 250.

I'm 6'2" and want the height. I figured the bushings would help a little but solid is fine too. I have the CC forks. I could machine a relief on the underside of the mount if needed. I have a small mill that would have no problem doing that. There looks like there would still be plenty of "meat" left for the threads but not sure that I want to bother. Maybe a winter project....

I used a set of Enduro Engineering 8mm bar risers below the mounting to get the extra clearance I needed.

I had one on my 2015 from day one and decided to not install on my 2017. It does limit the movement of the bars forward or backward. Only one position. It did seem to isolate some vibration from the bars. More than like likely will install sometime to see get an opinion from stock.

If you don't want limiting rubber bumpers, you might go this route. I did for a nice underbar mount. Not perfect but it works fine.http://www.betarider.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2081&p=18384#p18384
