Do I have to buy a whole new shifter? Went out this weekend and smashed the shifter head and lost the spring. I found the Forged Hammer Head shifter and it's cheap enough. I would spend $34 on a new head if it were a solid piece though. Also if the Hammer head is a piece of crap please let me know.

I ran the hammerhead most of this season. It took a few hits and was fine. the finish rubbed off slightly in a few spots but overall in really great shape still. I'm quite happy with it.

Good to hear. May just go that route. Thanks for the input serialize!

i have the Moose Racing shift lever that is supposedly made by Hammerhead ... can't be the same product because it's been a POS from day one. always loose and the grip wore down after one race. i have to snug it every other ride. never had to do that with the stock unit.

This is the one I ordered. I saw a Moose shifter but it looked different....? It's only $35. I have a 30 ton press so if it loosens up I will squish it until it tightens up or is flat. Whichever is first.

Another happy Hammerhead customer here.
It's been on for 104 of the 105 hours I have on the bike....

Does the forged Hammerhead shift lever stick out away from the case as much as the stock or does it fit closer to the case? Find myself missing the folding tip entirely and hitting the arm. Have a lot of mis-shifts.

That's the one I had. About 40 hours and was very happy when I sold it with the bike.
Much better grip and stronger too.

I didn't notice that it stuck out anymore than stock. I will try to grab a pic of it tonight.
