Throttle Pull

Postby xdab » Mon Oct 09, 2017 8:33 am

New to 4t EFI and Beta. Recently purchased 2017 500 RRS. For me, the throttle pull is waaayyy to light. Any way to add a touch more resistance?

Pretty common to FI. It probably feels too loose or touchy at the very bottom. More likely you need a throttle tamer from G2. That will slow down the throttle response in the first 1/4 turn.

Yes. I've installed the G2 'throttle tamer', as they call it. Made nice difference. However, not my issue. The lightness of pull just flat bothers me. Have ridden buddies YZFX's and RMZ's. Didn't even notice as being different than carb bikes. The EFI Beta on other hand (with the G2...can't remember what it was like without) is ridiculously light. I suppose just something peculiar to the bike and need to get used to it not unlike the mushy marsh mellow rear brake which I'm particularly struggling with.

And, with respect to rear brake, it has to do more with internal force than rate of engagement.....
