Rear rotor cross reference

Postby robw122 » Mon Oct 09, 2017 1:48 pm

hi guys,
does anyone have a cross reference or an equivalent replacement rear rotor for a 17 250rr? Mine's worn down pretty well.

http://www.innteck-usa.com/
I got mine from innteck. they make a wave rotor like stock and also a solid rear rotor.
the galfer is a very soft disc and the stock pads are very aggressive which is why they wear very quick.

That innteck is a very good option, I currently try to get one to me in Australia but the freight is a killer.
Another option is Dirt Tricks, a bit more expensive but proven very good.

hey give Rob Lang a call or an email. he might be able to get a cheaper price on shipping . he is in Ontario Canada but shipping is always cheap with him but I am not sure about over seas. he is the one of main disturbers in Canada for innteck

Consider different pads - the stock pads are indeed "aggressive" meaning they last longer BUT at the expense of rotor wear.

I use EBC Carbon X pads which are carbon graphite and Kevlar, they don't last as long as the sintered pads but you shift replacement expense to the pad vs the rotor.

Additionally, they don't generate as much heat - if you're a brake dragger these will reduce overheating and fluid boiling / brake fade.

Rear - EBC FA185X (supercedes FA389X)
Front - EBC FA367X

Easily recognized by their red color (some of the old stock are black).

Look for them on ebay, lots of great values for left over stock as these pads of course fit many other bikes.

Any issues with the carbon x pads in wet and muddy conditions?

My stock rear rotor and pads are gone, i'm surprised the rotor didn't even outlast the original pads.
