Who has good pricing on Pro Moto Billet/Fastway stuff?

Postby Potatohead » Wed Nov 01, 2017 9:59 am

I'm looking at going with a ASS-DM-0109 mount but I am only able to find it on the Pro Moto Billet website which = $$$. Wondering who has a lead on good pricing for them.

That part # retails at $52 or are you after the risers and damper also?

That assembly on the left is $187.90 with the risers. The one on the right is about $112. Those prices are minus the damper obviously. I'm to a point I'm going to make my own for a Scotts stabilizer.

I looked online but haven't reached out to them. I would think a mount for a KTM with a similar triple clamp would work. The geometry of where the head pivots may not be right though? I am pretty sure that I have read that some people have gotten a mount to work and some had to modify one to work. I have CAD/CAM software and a small mill....plus access to others that do as well. If I could find a kit for $500-$550 I would just buy it. I don't care for the bushing mounted Scotts/BRP one here.....https://www.brpmoto.com/index.php/beta/product/1931-brp-rubber-mtd-sub-mount-ds-sub-kit-08-16-beta-250-520-w-oem-tc.html

Plus getting an added 2" of height for me would be nice. If it works out I will see if I can get someone to run a batch of them.

I got by with a $55 dollar ASS_DM_0109 mount from pro Moto billet. Check out the details here for my underbar mount. http://www.betarider.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2081&p=18384#p18384

I did not want the rubber bumpers either... Too many crash issues on RMX years ago to go back to that setup. Very $$$ also...

BRP has an underbar setup but only with the rubber bumpers setup that limits raising your fork. I just took a look and it's the same setup as last year when I decided to take a chance and make the Pro Billet Moto piece work. It really was just filling down two small grooves on the BPM Scott's mount so the Beta 5mm risers would sit flush. Not very hard and took about 10 minutes. It would be nice if we had more choices for our betas...

Actually for an exotic Beta has lots of options compared even a few years ago. Beta is a tiny company with not many bikes sold. It usually just isn’t worth it for lots of aftermarket companies as not alot of sales will come arpund compated to big volume dirt bikes being sold. Not that many years ago I had to go to the machine shop to cut down a kx 450 Scotts rear disc guard to fit my Beta. There were none being made.
Now Betajas a bunch of options from a variety of companies... but yea more options of aftermarket is always better.

I wanted the added height so made my own. I'm thinking of cleaning it up and offering/selling it in different heights.
