Anybody know if this skid plate listed for the 2014-2017 will also fit the 2018 390?

I'll answer my own question.

Why yes, worstell, it does fit the 2018 model. I think you'll really like it.

Well, I do like it. 8mm thick, good coverage, and extends back under the linkage.

Congrats on the bike!!!

Check a bunch of choices for skid plates. I like the burly ricochet skid plate I got but would have rather gotten the Ptech Skid plate. There are a bunch of choices. Google Beta skidplares and familiarize before buying. Check the ptech. It’s nice.

On my 250RR, I had a burly aluminum skid plate made in Poland that was similar to the Ptech, followed by a P3 carbon skid plate. Both of those allowed the frame to get dinged up. I expect the 8mm HDPHE plastic to do a better job. We'll see.

Good luck with that. Plastic is better than the past plastic design but it has flex .guys have had the frame rails below the motor crush with plastic. Otherwise Id buy it. That skid plate does look nice though. All we do is ride lots od rocks and boulders here. The best setups are custom metal cage guards connected to a burly thick metal skid plate. That’s why I went the ricochet skid plate route. It’s got the thickest plate and covers high. Maybe an uptite skid plate is good also. Anyway try it and tell us how it is. Maybe it’s better. I may be wrong on this plate. Give us a rundown on how it protects. It does look nice. I just figured it’s good to look at all options before choosing.

Thanks. Here is exactly what I had previously, but for Beta:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Qah_zrXgbI

My experience with aluminum skid plates, even the thick ones, is that they dent super easy.

After 140 hours on my KTM 350 with the stock plastic skid plate, the frame rails were perfect.

After 70 hours on my Beta 250 RR, first with the aluminum skid plate in the video, and then the P3 carbon skid plate, the frame rails were dented in several spots.

Maybe it is a Beta vs KTM frame thing, but certainly hope not.

I'm in the rocky mountains, and yeah, we ride lots of big, gnarly, sharp rocks.

After I get some hours with the Moose Racing LG Pro skid plate, I'll report back.
