IMS oversized gas tank for 2018+ models

Maybe this has been answered, but I have not found it.

My last Beta was a 2015 300rr. I've missed it since trading it for a '14 KTM 500exc. I just sold the KTM and my plan now is to pick up another bike over the winter and set it up with the accessories I want.

I have my eyes on a 390, but may go back to a 300. That being said, for the riding I plan to do, I want an oversized gas tank. I know 2018's received new frames and plastic.

My question, do the tanks that fit '17's fit the 18's. I wouldn't think this is the case but I can't find tanks for '18's yet. Maybe they haven't been released.

I have an 18 390. Same IMS tank since they went FI

Thank you. That's impressive. How the heck did they engineer a new frame, save weight and then allow parts designed for the old chassis to bolt right up.

The 17' & 18' 2t frames are different the tank fits but you need to make a new front mount if IMS hasn't already made one.

Just picked up a 2018 390. Want to go with a 4 gallon IMS tank. Has anyone had any fitting, installiation or problems while riding with this tank? I'm not concerned with how things look, just use.

Keep an eye on the hose clamps, Iv'e always had to spin the screw around so it doesn't chew into the tank.
