Handguards

Postby ericridebike » Thu May 23, 2019 10:00 pm

Just picked up a ‘19 300rr and need some handguards. Curious what everyone else is using on theirs. I’ve used Cycra in the past and was happy with them, but wanted to see if there might be a better option. Also, what size are the factory handlebars? They kind of look tapered like the Renthal Fat Bars I had on another bike, so curious what size of the clamps I would need? Need to get something ASAP cause most of the vegetation here in Arizona has sharp, pointy things on it lol.

I got cycra probends.. Those are great. For added hand protection I put the foam moose racing hand guards over the probends for way improved hand protection .

HDB (Highway Dirt Bikes) I've had the same pair on 4 different bikes. I told the owner last year I've probable dropped the bike/s over the years at least a 100 times. Bought a second pair for an additional bike.

Thanks for the suggestions! Do I just use ones for standard 1 1/8” bars?

I also have the HDB ones. I needed mirrors (mine is street legal) plus I’ve found them quite stable.

We spec Fastway guards on almost every bike we sell. The inner mounts replace the stock top cap of the handlebar clamp, and they feature a Cycra-type bend to allow greater movement.
