Adjust rear brake pedal?

Postby beta250rrowner » Mon Jun 10, 2019 1:26 am

I spent some time yesterday taking apart the rear brake pedal mechanism to search for the adjustment screw.

The problem is it would appear there isn't one.

I am trying to practice slow wheelies and from a seated position the brake pedal is slightly higher than the foot peg which makes it uncomfortable to move my ankle.

There's obviously got to be a way to adjust it, what's the secret? :)

I just bought this to drop my rear brake position on my 390rr

https://www.nesrcc.com/shop/custom-comp ... esrcc-012/

Just email the company on the site. Their default shipping price hasn't been updated. I only paid a few dollars to ship.

You can also remove the jamb nut above the clevis and screw it all the way down.

Right, there is a 10mm nut hidden under the rubber boot of the rear brake cylinder. There is about 1cm of adjustment, I adjusted the bracket all the way up and it didn't seem to make any difference to the pedal, in fact it seemed to make it slightly higher!

It's very strange that on a high spec enduro bike that you can't adjust the rear brake pedal :?

My new solution is just going to be this

Yes, that's right, when I am practicing wheelies I am gonna stick my right knee out so that I can cover the brake pedal comfortably!

You don't need to take the pedal off, Loosen the 12mm lock nut and just turn the 10mm it will move up and down both above and below the footpeg. Your issue maybe play in the clevis. You can shim this up or buy an aftermarket clevis some models of KX fit the best and are more available.
