2020 Beta 300RR 2T: rear shock bolts issue?

Last thursday I received my new 2020 Beta 300RR. I am a happy man.

But on the saturday that followed, I received 2 (M10?) bolts by mail in a Beta-branded box. So I asked my dealer for more info; apparently it was a package sent from Beta HQ. A recall of sorts, but only these two bolts and a long text in French. He was working on a translation for the text, but sent me the bolts in advance (it's a 2.5 hour drive to his dealership so he knew I wasn't about to come back any time soon).

However, I haven't heard anything from him since. Did any of you 2020 owners receive the same two bolts? Based on the size of the bolts, it seems to me that they are for mounting the rear shock assembly.

Does anyone know what's wrong the with bolts in the bike? Or any info at all?

Did you get a parts manual, would you mind looking up the part number for the steel clutch plates, curious if they change it to the HD clutch plate up grade they started offering in 18'.

Dutchman; I suggest contacting BetaUSA and asking them direct, you could also upload the instructions received for a translation but I would think one of the dealers on this site may answer regarding this.

I'm hopefully picking up a new 2020 200RR later this week so will ask the dealer about them. They have already had a batch of 300s so they may also have had these replacement bolts.

If you look on the Beta parts finder http://partsfinder.softway.it/beta, the 2020 bikes are on there but the parts diagramme descriptions are blank. You can select the pages and drill down to the parts.

@Hyde: I’m unsure about clutch plates; I received no parts catalog but I think that Beta would have marketed/mentioned such an upgrade at launch time if they had changed it. I have read nothing about it yet.

Steel clutch plate part no for the 2020 300RR is 029.03.005.00.00. 2018 part no is 029.03.150.00.00.

I spoke to my Beta dealer today and they have also had the replacement bolts come with their 1st batch of 300RRs. Only the 300s have had these.

They are straight replacements for the top and bottom shock bolts.

HmMmMmm.. I wonder what's wrong with the ones that are currently in there. But I will replace mine as well this evening anyway. Thanks for asking your dealer!

Not sure why they are being replaced, the dealer just said it's a "recall".
