Ktm wheels on a Beta?

I have a set of 20mm KTM spacers coming tomorrow. I am going to put those in the KTM wheel and see how things line up and take some more precise measurements from the face of the spacer to the center of the sprocket, etc.

For my custom spacers I did everything on the bench with a good caliper and some pieces of flat bar stock, using the Beta wheels and spacers as a reference from the sprocket side. I should have these #s in my notes.

The rear rotor is the same as ktm 690.

While we're talking wheels and rotors here, do any other bikes' front discs fit the beta front hub?

Ok so I tried this whole fitting KTM-wheels on a Beta myself today.

First off, in the rear, yes... shaving off just over 2 mm off the right spacer will let the wheel fit perfectly, aligning the sprocket just right. I found a couple of old spare spacers so physically tried this. So other than this, as we all already know, it's just the rear brake disc that needs changing and according to earlier posts it seems like the larger KTM bikes (690 and maybe bigger?) use 240mm discs that should fit right on. I have yet to confirm that.

In the front all you have to do is use Beta spacers on the KTM wheel. Also the front disc looks identical to my KTM-disc, bolt holes and all. Haven't actually mounted one but I really can't seen where a potential problem would arise.

So, hope that clarified things.

Phatpat: good info, I'll have to hit up one of the many dirtbag friends that have KTMs and give it a try. I would like to have at least a spare rear tire to try different tires.
