Some times I don't get what's the point of finding cross reference parts for BETA when:

a) Beta OEM parts are cheaper than KTM's by approx. 30% and usually way more cheaper than Japanese parts

b) Regarding sprockets, S/sprox Stealths are available through Beta Factory parts at normal (not inflated' because we have it in our catalog) prices....

Surely there are some good after market parts or some shortage on specific parts but Beta and Boano as well as some other specialists like Innteck offer quite enough.

Still I cannot see why should I care If Beta sprocket is the same with Honda or KTM when the best in the market (Stealth) is directly available.
I should add that even OEM alloy-only rear sprockets are made by Supersprox and are top quality since they last long (longer than Renthals for example).
And front lightened sprocket, again leaves no reason to look for something else.

I can attest to the '12 CRF450 sprocket fitting my '14 Beta 300rr. I installed an all steel 50 tooth on it just minutes ago. And I held the Beta sprocket up to a XR400 sprocket (new in package) and looks to be same size and holes line up. I picked up the 50 on sale for 19.95 at rmatv. I might be going to a 51 and didn't want to fork out much to try it.

Hi!

I just installed a new chain kit with a Supersprox Stealth for Beta. Anyway, I am 99,9% sure that Beta rear sprockets are the same as Husqvarna and GasGas sprockets too......

They will not fit on 13 and up.

So what is the truth on rear sprocket for 2014 Beta's. I know that Husky sprocket doesnt fit

The rear stealth sprocket part number for the 250/300 RRs is 8000 and this is also quoted for the 2013 498RR, 400RR and 350RR. Earlier models have part number 1512 which is the main # for Husqvarna and GasGas machines. The main KTM part no is 990.

According to the factory in Poland (they moved from the Czech Republic recently), there is a 1mm difference in the mounting holes between the Husky, KTM and Beta rears. Although they admit that you can make the KTM and Husky sprockets fit, it can make the mounting lugs break off the hub and they have had several reports of this happening. I have heard of this from a UK dealer as well as he had fitted a KTM sprocket to one of his sponsored rider's bikes and he DNF'd an endure when 2 lugs broke off his back hub.

Front sprockets are definitely KTM/Husaberg standard #1901.

I have taken the KTM back sprocket off my 300 and have a #8000 on order.

Not that anyone has asked, but I got from Am Beta today the torque spec for the front drive sprocket which is 60 Nm. Right hand thread in case anyone has the same experience as I in that the red Loctite used at the factory held so tight, I was for a minute questioning if CCW was the right direction to loosen.

Today I mounted a 51t Supersprox Honda CRF sprocket to my Beta. I took the time to measure this vs the Beta specific sprocket it replaced. The inner dia. is exactly the same at 125mm. However, the mounting hole center to center dimmension across the sprocket measured .75mm greater on the Honda sprocket, so that means each hole is approx .375mm off center in relation to the hub, in the outer direction. I could install the bolts, but they were a tight fit and not exactly square with the hub on the back side. This fit may vary with bike and sprocket and in some cases may be OK but I did not like the fit in my case. All it takes is a few strokes with a round file on the inner sides of the holes and it fits perfect. So, not a direct fit, but a viable solution just note the fit and correct if needed.

Why did Beta do something like this? Obvious answer is to have proprietary parts sold through them at least in the short term.
