Airbox lid

Postby Hawkeye » Tue Oct 15, 2013 2:25 pm

Anybody have a replacement fix for the metal clips that the airbox lid posts pop into. I broke one of the metal tabs off one of mine, and I bet the other will fail soon. I am looking for an updated part with increased durability.

Thanks in advance.

Mine came with a loose one, got a few replacements from Steve. Yeah they could be better but if you look close and center the pin before pushing on the cover it snaps in with no drama and does not seem to get loose. A little grease helps too. They can't take many off center hits to the cover with your hand to pop them in. I'll look into it but just keeping a few spares on hand is probably good enough for now.

Thanks, I'll hit up my dealer for some spares and work on my aim!

I've got some in stock. Had to replace the lower on my 250 demo after about 50 hours. Glenn is right though about getting things lined up first - helps with insertion and extraction.
