300rr seat height

300rr seat height

Postby guythefly » Sat May 09, 2020 11:12 am

Have had a 2016 X trainer ,sold last year, seat height 910mm.Looking to buy a 2020 300rr when everything opens up again. Got hit by a hit and run driver whilst in a lay-by which broke my right leg. Leg not as good as it could be, and ideally I could use a slightly lower seat height than the X Trainer. In a lot of 300rr reviews they say the bike can be ordered 2 inches lower than standard. Has anybody heard about this or is it fake news.... :o

C'mon man! It's easy for you to check on the Beta BYOB site.

Dougie Lampkin is the importer for Beta in the UK, but he's website is down due to corona virus. The situation in the USA is different to how the BYOB works here if at all. So I shall look at the beta site in the USA ,but it may have no relevance to the service we get here.
Cheers for the pointer , man. :D

Have checked the Beta BYOB site ,but when then picking the model required it shows as not available.

So if anybody does know whether the seat height can be lowered I can then approach the dealer I have used in the past to confirm this is possible as they may disagree or not know if this is a service available. Thanks for your help in advance...

I'm sure your local suspension tuner can do that and most likely for less that what Beta would charge.

Thanks for that suggestion. I have already contacted a suspension tuner who was worked on my previous road bikes, and has done a brilliant job in the past . He has said there should not be a problem but would need to know which company is supplying the forks and shock. This is a rout I am happy to go down ,but thought somebody could confirm whether there is a factory option. Cheers Guy
