oil pump issue

Postby Willis7864 » Sun May 01, 2016 2:16 am

hi everyone, as you all have notice in previous posts I had a bit of an issue with the oil mixer light staying on then not coming on at all on start up.anyway took bike to dealer and as sods law when took bike out of the the van,the battery in the computer had gone flat, people saying that must be the problem, but when light staying on ,or when it didn't not come on at all on start up the computer was working fine, but obviously the dealer didn't see it.put new battery in computer bike started and pump light and pump working ok ,couldn't belive it.
so took bike home went out for a few hours yesterday and yes after a wile pump stoped working again ,computer all ok but the pump light does not come on when you start the engine ,there is a big part of the pipe fro the intake for about 2" that does not have any oil in it indicating the oil pump not work.any ideas lads.as its frying my head
I will post a few vids to show

I would take it to dealer at current condition a.s.a.p. before the battery dies.

The battery dying is a separate issue, it should not be dying, you may have a bad odometer. The oil pump problem could be a OI control module, there are some tests that can be done to check the pump and control unit.

At some point Beta added diodes in the electrical system. My guess is to address the electrical drain. I posted some info & the new wiring diagram on Thumpertalk somewhere if I remember correctly.
