Nothing like that on the 2stroke flywheel side, plus it would not go away with the clutch. If clutch basket was loose it would vibrate bad until you lost the clutch action, had that happen to me on a KDX years ago. Do you have an accessory alloy skid plate? Normal transmission noise can be reflected upward and sound worse than it really is. Also, if your running a light gear oil try something slightly heavier. ATF can make a trans sound nasty in some bikes.

No to the skid plate ,and i am running the 10/40 motul expert .
