2020 beta 200rr

Postby tractorman769 » Fri Sep 20, 2019 10:02 am

Hi, thanks for letting me join the forum! I am excited to be getting a 2020 200rr in a couple of weeks. I have a couple of questions some of you might could answer for me.
1. Will step pegz from previous models fit my new bike?
2. For my oil injection, can I use motorcycle cross power that I use for my Husqvarna? Or, would you advise me to use Motul710. I heard Motul 800 may be too thick.
Thank You in advance.
Also, I would like to thank Barry Morris and Allen Birmingham for introducing me to Beta motorcycles and Mark Donovan of Adventure Off-Road in Leona, Tennessee for getting me on my first Beta!

Hi Tractorman.

1. No, the footpeg design is completely different to anything I've seen before so they won't fit.
2. Most motorcycle 2T oils will be fine. I use a brand made in the UK rather than one of the mainstream. Motul oils are generally very good; if it were me I'd go for the 710. Motorex would also be fine.

Get your dealer to check the carb float height pre delivery. It is normally set too high, fuel overflows at small lean angles and the jetting ends up far too rich.

Thanks for the heads up on the float height. I am going to get a 4 liter container of Motul 710 and keep it for my Beta. And continue using the motorex in the Husky.
The Steg Pegs are brackets that bolt to the sub frame.
Thanks

I see. Not sure about the Steg Pegs then. The subframe is completely new too so I guess you will need to see when the bike arrives. Enjoy!
