Horn Failures

Postby Afterburner » Fri Apr 10, 2020 8:27 pm

Hi All,

2019 Bete 500RRS well had two stock horns fail, purchase after market same, they work after install then after a few they quit.

Ground is good and voltage is fine all work with momentary switch, just horn quits. Not sure what happens during the ride and why the failures.

Thought a over voltage issue but would need to happen when riding.

I have found, when mine failed, that if I backed the little brass adjustment screw on the hour, out a 1/4 of a turn.It would work not only again but better than before.
The only time you need he 2nd Amendment, is when someone comes to take I away!

These are cheap horns used by most euro bike manufacturers. Just get a cheap eBay or amazon replacement. Only $10-14. Mine cheap one lasted an entire season. Once they get a good amount of mud and dust inside they stop working.
