Anyone with any experience with the new 390 Race Edition? Looking for general ride report.
Hows the handling and suspension?
Motor characteristics?
Free revving?
How much engine braking?

I have been racing beta since 2014 anywhere from the 300 to the 480 and the 2020 390 is the best bike i have ever rode smooth great handling and the suspension is alittle soft but pretty good out of the box.I had a 2018 beta 480 and the difference is amazing.

I would love to hear more detail about this!! I love the 2019 480, so I'm interested to hear what it is about the 2020 390 that you like so much more. Also (to compare apples to apples) what do you feel the key differences in pre-2020 390s vs the 2020 390?

I have a 390rr with KYB forks an un corked muffler and a +200 map re sprung and valved to suit me :) The std re suspension is ok it feels better than the rr however it can be improved a great deal just like any stock bike. The std springs are a little unbalanced I think with 0.48 and a 5.4. The engine is different to the 19 it revs up much faster and is closer to the 18-19 rr 350 and re 350 in the way it builds revs but still has the 390 torque. if you rev it hard it signs off. The Chassis and ergos are great for me at 5"10 very easy to stand and get forward the bike brakes better. The bike has the same gearbox and primary drive as the 350 I ran 13/51 the 390 easily pulls 13/49 there is no way my 350 would do that.

Thanks for the responses. Looks like 2020 Race Edition 390 are all gone and we'll have to wait for a 2021 at this point.
