Hello all,
I joined the forum about a month ago and haven't posted anything yet. I thought it was time I should but I don't have a Beta, yet.
I have my sights on a 400RS, hopefully early next year. I've been a hardcord KTM fan for nearly my whole motorcycling life beinging with sharing a friends Penton in the early seventies and winning my first trophy at a marathon.

I'm also a hardcore Italian machinery man since the seventies having owned a few Alfa Romeos, Fiats, Ducatis, SWMs, a Gilera, Stornello, Simonini and my beloved Mazzilli. Currently riding mainly vintage MX and enduro events but doing some dual sporting and trail riding too. My current modern trail bike is an old '98 KTM 200EXC. I ride a Kawasaki KLX250R on dual sport rides. In my quest for a new dual sporter I decided there was far too much orange for me and since I like riding something a little different was drawn to the Beta.

Coming from a vintage bike world I was not a stranger to the Beta name. I also won national titles in AHRMA trials on a Yamaha TY175 as well as a MX title on a Cheney JBR.

So anyway as the end of the year draws close I'm getting anxious and need to get serious about selling some bikes to make space and money.

Rick - come on in, the water is fine ;)

I had a chance to race a 1973 Penton Jackpiner this fall - what a trip that was. You'll be amazed at how good these modern bikes are.

Hello all, I'm new to the site but technically not an owner of a Beta yet. My 300rr race edition has yet to come in. I'm hoping in the next few weeks. This forum is a wealth of information for Beta owners, glad to be a part of it.

Thanks for all the work you've put into this, it will be fun to watch it grow in members, posts and content.

I've been seeding a few things here and there to seed some of the categories. My goal is to try to stay at half the posts Glenn makes, that's a tall order. I may have to abandon that if I run out of intelligent comments, or even comments that remotely sound intelligent.

When I look at this forum it reminds me of the old days of the smackover "talking smack" gasgas forum. Less than 100 users total and 10 active at a given time. The content and value of the forum will build up over time. No rush. Don't make "work" out of it - Just enjoy it for yourself... It will build up in it's own good time. :)

That being said - I will set up google advertising for a few months - it will cost about $15-$20 per month but will put us at the top of the search listings on google.

I was one of those 10 at the old original gasgas forum! I don't even remember the user name I used there, I started using this one in 04 on thumpertalk. Anyways thanks for the effort putting up this forum. Are you still on a GasGas Jeff? You should really try a Beta!
