OPEC special '21 Beta 300

Hi everyone,
Can anyone lend insight as to why my oil injected '21 300 gets atrocious fuel mileage? A 2021 500hp Corvette is about the same as my 300.
I can barely eke out 40 miles of desert single track with the stock Carb. I had the dealer check it out set the float height to no avail. I figured I'd get the Smart Carb (SC) and realize the advertised 20% increase in range. It now can barely eke out 43 miles. A small increase but not worth the cost of admission.
The bike ran great with the stock Carb and better still with the SC.
I'm 170lbs dressed out, don't ring it out in the short sand transfer sections and lug and short shift most of the time.
Most of the test articles I've read on the bike indicate, at worst, it hits reserve at 40 miles and runs out at 55-60.
Does anyone know how I can get that kind of mileage without going to a bulbous 3.4 gallon aftermarket tank that would make the bike clumsy and awkward?
Thanks
The Battle Star

Look, you are giving some Shiek a raging one atm, so good on you for improving international relations.
I have little Beta experience, but previous PWK experience with mates bikes all pointed to Float height and float needle condition.

You've attended to height and replaced the carb outright. I generally expect 10km per litre out of a dirtbike. I've not checked my XTRAINER after the last ride but is on my list.

Just for reference, my XTrainer with Fatty pipe should be comparable.
45km used 4.2litres. So 10km/litre.
