Montana Riding trip

Postby aj_mariner » Fri Jul 08, 2022 8:07 am

Heading to the Bozeman area in a couple weeks. We will be there for a 8 days. It’s just me and a friend. The more gnarly the better. Here’s the list so far:
1. Pipestone
2. Bridger/Bangtails
3. Custer-Gallatin

We’ve done a lot of looking on YouTube. Some vids that try to keep areas “quiet” by not naming trails are pretty easy to find on Google Earth. I make hush trails myself and am not looking for anyone to give up secret spots publicly. I just don’t want to drive 12 hours and miss out on the most challenging/scenic trails. Any info would be very helpful and I will reciprocate the help if you’re thinking of a Washington dirt bike trip. Please DM me with trails that you’d like to keep off the grid, and comment with trails/loops that are on trail maps we shouldn’t miss out on. Thanks in advance for your help.

I was also planning a trip out there this fall until I broke my scapula and tore my AC joint, so my trip is moved to next year.

We are also looking for more gnarly stuff vs meadow trails and 2 track, I know it's there and it must be good.

I have been looking for a VRBO near any decent riding area's and it pretty scant for houses or cabins.
