BETA Durability

Wow, I got t-boned at the start of a race and my pipe got bent causing an air leak that eventually caused me to pull off after about an hour and a half. What I didn't realize was the impact also torn my base gasket badly causing all the coolant to go. I knew the bike was getting hot but it didn't have a clue about the coolant loss since of was such a cold mudfest. The bike ran strong and didn't seize. 2013 250. I was also running the thinner base gasket and 32:1 Lucas.

I had to put in a standard gasket(I had a standard and thick left) and my original orings. The dome rings flattened a little from the heat and were weeping. Piston, cylinder, and crank all looked good. Both breather tubes(expansion camber and power valve areas)up front were slightly melted as well as the bottom power valve rubber gasket and throttle cable cover.

All back together and running like a champ. AMAZING! BFL(beta for life)

Nice race, I don't know any enduro race like that in Colorado. If there's one, even though I'm not a racer, I just might enter to ride the trail.

That property is considered a favorite by many because they consider it the least technical. Those Indiana boys have some insane courses. There was one last year that took me 2 hours to do a lap, LOTS of DNFs. I was the last to cross the line, but I crossed it. It was one of the proudest moments of my riding life.
