2t Carb Boot without the oil injection Port

Postby Jebster » Fri Oct 13, 2017 6:37 am

I've removed the oil injection system in my '17 300RR but still have the "carburetor manifold" with the oil injection port. Right now it's plugged off but I'd love to install the boot without the injection port.

New or used is fine

Thanks but don't need the entire kit, just the boot. Looking to see if someone maybe installed the oil injection on a Race version and has the stock boot on the shelf.

You can buy the intake manifold boot alone from your dealer. Same as used on the Race Edition bikes without OI.

Can't you find a bolt that would replace the hose barb? Easy way out.

Not a bad suggestion, particularly on a temporary basis. I've had the injection port plugged and RTV'd to keep everything in place and it's been fine over the last 8-9 months. I just know from experience things like these have a tendency - over time - to be forgotten and eventually work loose, fail, come undone, get power-washed, etc so I wanted to replace the thing with one where the integrity hasn't been compromised.
