That does not sound very reassuring for us who use the tank.
Does anyone know what the 'warranty issue' is?

My guess would be it has to do with the right side petcock leaking, I have heard most have had trouble with them, in fact I'm taking mine off today and see if I can remedy it.

I have the IMS on my 250 and 450 with no leaking, I've never turned the left valve to ON on either tank.

Okay, you're looking at the bike from the front? I'm talking about it as if sitting on the seat. I have never used the extra petcock either, but it leaks enough to show up on the floor after a week.

I have a clear 2.5 gallon tank off of my 2014 300 RR racing addition...I will let go, PM me or let me know if anyone needs one still.... I am running now IMS 3.2 gallon and I haven't had the problem with the secondary petcock on the right side leaking either, just saying....

I have the Ims tank on my 300rr too. When I arrived to pick up my new bike my dealer was trying to get the right side petcock to quit leaking. In the end he ended up putting another new tank on my bike. Since then I dont's even touch that petcock. I'll just lean the bike over if I need some more gas.
A r eal problem for me is trying to refit the tank after having it off. I dread the day I have to remove it again. Not much clearance in front of the tank either. Watch out for left side rad hose.
