Parts crossover list

Postby Justsam » Wed Mar 23, 2016 3:15 pm

I remember seeing a parts crossover list on here a few weeks ago and thinking 'that's useful, I'll save that' but never did and now can't seem to find it for looking? So if anyone can point me in the right direction that'd be good ;)

There is plenty of parts available for these bikes now,but you can use honda rear sprockets, ktm front rotors, brake calipers are the same as a yz250, clutch lever the same as a newer ktm, the shifter from a crf250r will fit, but is about 5mm shorter. i have also heard the clutch plates are the same as a YZ450f. Not sure if this helps anything.

The CRF rear sprockets are not a "perfect" fit. The bolt pattern is the same but the crf is about 1-2 mm wider in overall bolt pattern circumference. Nothing a jewelers file can't fix if you're in a bind, but I'd just buy one made to fit the Beta if you're spending the money anyway. For experimenting with a different sprocket size cheaply it may be worth it.

Beta parts are widely available, huge range and are priced very well, why would you bother looking for cross over parts?

There were a couple threads, will see if I can find them.
Beta parts not so widely available, it's hit a miss but generally a few weeks to get the common stuff.
Them some things like caliper seals, pistons, have yet to hear back indefinitely.
So the cross reference is great since KTM will share some parts and likely some of the Japanese for brake parts. Would make it easier to get those parts shared on other bikes.
