I've used several of these and they fit decent with a little care in bending. On the Beta, start on the fat part of the pipe that is the widest or you can run short. All I had to do was remove a "finger" to clear the pipe mount. IMO, ding protection from small flying rocks is almost as good as a CF guard. If you hit a big rock with any pipe guard the pipe will bend anyway but with this probably less at the header.

Uh.. I linked the 4stroke because I'm riding one :D . I know most pipe protection is sold for 2 strokes, but I'm being a bit anal in wanting to protect my new jewel and am looking for the best pipe/skid plate combo I can find. Currently I can only find the Moose ones we're talking about and skid plates I have narrowed down to this http://shop.getdirtydirtbikes.com/Vented-Aluminum-Skid-Plate-AB-21123.htm
or this http://www.crosspro.pt/1/362/Aluminum-Enduro-engine-guard

Any other Alum pipe/engine guards out there I'm missing?

Well I missed that sig.

I would think the 4stroke alloy guards are less variable than the 2strokes because most headers are closer to the same size than 2stroke pipes. Some guys here have them on KTMs and they seem OK.

Thanks for the info. I've ordered the Moose pipe guard and will post up pics when installed.
