P3 Frame Grip Guards for '17 300rr

I agree to an extent, it would be nice for them to last longer and they're not super cheap. If you're all about being practical then, yeah, put the OEM frame guards on. But remember, it's basically a piece of grip tape. I do think I'm going to keep them on because they provide protection where the OEM units don't (upper frame) and they look great. I'll find a way to protect the lower section, maybe trim down the OEM guards.

when your guards get so fancy that you need guards for your guards. somethings wrong.

I never need anything for the spot the stock guards rest. Just up on the frame tubes where my grimy, muck covered boots touch and turn paint into rust.

I used to use some thick 3M vinyl that is clear on my Huskys. I think I got it at cycle gear. Comes in a page size sheet. I'd cut out several pieces and replace them as they wear

A small piece of what you're describing would go a long ways with these grip guards.
