I had always thought that this was just a bling piece. After a year and a half of having to change foot position to find the rear brake, the stock tip finally bent to hell and needed to be replaced. So, after asking a friend about it, I bought the large rear brake tip by Hammerhead and positioned it to be further towards the rear. Huge difference! I no longer am searching for the rear brake and can keep the arch of my foot on the pegs and have more confidence on downhill sections. Definitely worth it, and would instantly swap to it on a brand new bike
