ARC composite flex levers

Has anyone tried the ARC composite flex levers? Want to get some levers that won't brake too easily when riding without full aluminium hand guards but they're pretty damn expensive, especially over here in Europe.

Are the Arc leavers shorter then stock? I'd like a shorter leaver to make it easier to cut the bars down with full handgaurds

the lever portion is shorter but it's a 2 piece design. overall length is the same
