Arrived yesterday, still on the crate...

Not like previous years, the homologation parts are fitted from the factory and need to be removed. Will come back with detailed photos as I 'll start to prepare it.

Also there are some carry over parts from my previous RR to be fitted....... If somebody is interested for a full 2014 RACE 300 spec kit with 80hrs (A class cylinder), pm me..

Very pretty.
The smell of the new Beta being fired up is great.

Did you notice anything new or different that wasn't in the press release?

That's fantastic! Hopefully they've got the first shipping containers loaded and ocean-bound to the US.

This is how the bike comes.... the fmf exp. chamber is not fitted and there are 2 boxes (lower left of the photo) containing the parts that have to be replaced as well as blinkers, mirrors etc.

Image

So apart from the usual stuff, you have to replace chain and both sprockets....

Image

...as well as air filter and jetting (2 strokes were coming ready....)

Image

There is also a leaflet decribing all the necessary work (haven't read it yet.... )

Yes.... together with the new tank cap comes a gas spill preventing flange which drains to the skid plate... Nice!!
Ivan I think that you already knew something....

Finally the jetting seems to be ready from the factory. I didn't open the carb but the homologation jets and needle are in the box hence the assumption.
Another thing I've noticed is the throttle cable which is crimped where it enters the carb just like the motion pro cables are.
In my 2014 it wasn't but I am not sure about the '15s and 16's. Part number is the same with 2016 but stil it can be 'updated' without part no. change.

Can somebody check this?

Where do i sign for one of those fuel tank spill aprons??

My 16 is the easiest bike ever to overfill if you use a bigger sort of clumsy jug. I use my a special 5 litre filler bottle thats precise but the tiniest bit of inattention and glub glub its everywhere.
Loose...

no doubt! my wife is always like: WTF, can't you put gas in your bike without stinking up the entire house?? Granted I'm working with a 5 gal race can......I think I need a special can for filling also....

But if it just drains to the skid plate, it's still going to stink.
