Not so pretty now

Not so pretty now

Postby masta-BETA » Sat Aug 23, 2014 8:35 pm

Since I posted the first pictures the lower radiator shroud stickers have come off, I've got strips of duct tape to hold down the edges of the top ones. I have changed the steering damper from the gpr v1 to a v3 changed the hand guards, hand grips, finally changed my bash plate that was held together with 3 tin plates and a bunch of rivets to a crosspro unit also changed the fork guards to some ktm ones as I've nearly worn through the fork wear rings, just done the rear wheel bearings and seals, front wheel bearings okay for a few more rides have purchased new chain and sprockets 13,49(was not 13,52 as I mentioned in a earlier post) but I can get another ride or two before I replace them. Cheers Richard

She's done 50hrs 1953km, and for the first few rides I didn't want to get a scratch on her, now not really a problem. Cheers Richard

That crosspro looks like a good unit.

Did you have a problem getting the wheels true after adding the spoke covers? I assume you had to loosen spokes to get them on.

Hey there Jeff, front skinz slid on easily as there's enough room where the spokes crossed over, as for the back I just loosened one spoke at a time on one side then slid skinz on and did the spoke up the same number turns that I undid it. I then cut the end of a zip tie square and taped to the swingarm so it just touched the rim and spun the wheel to make sure it was still true, it looked good no wobbles. Cheers Richard
